Basso-cantante Lawrence Long returned to Teatro Grattacielo in 2010 (Avery Fisher Hall) in their production of I Gioielli della Madonna as the Blind Man. He debuted at Bard College’s 2007 Summerscape series in the world-premiere of Deirdre Murray and Carl Hancock Rux’s The Blackamoor Angel as the Baron. He returned to the NYCO in 2005-6 for Mark Adamo's New York premiere of Lysistrata as Bion and Geezer and as Le Vieux Paysan in Paul Dukas’ Ariane et Barbe-Bleue. Mr. Long debuted at the NYCO in Fall 2004 as Second Man in Mustachios in the world-premiere of Charles Wuorinen's Haroun and the Sea of Stories. He returned to Alice Tully Hall as Il dottore in Giordano's La Cena delle Beffe with TeatroGrattacielo in 2004 having sung Tom in Mascagni's Guglielmo Ratcliff in 2003. Larry has sung Leporello, Raimondo, Ferrando with Opera Illinois and Pooh-Bah at OperaDelaware. With Sarasota Opera, Larry performed Verdi's Requiem and Raimondo in Lucia di Lammermoor.
